A small, delicately patterned gecko, the Beaked Gecko is less
than 10 cm long and occurs in a variety of habitats in the low rainfall areas of mainland Australia.
It hunts at night, feeding mainly on termites, and sheltering during the day in burrows to avoid
the intense summer day-time heat.
